Rules

1.0 General Rules

1. 1.1

   Misfits Roleplay is strictly 18+.

2. 1.2

   Any type of racial abuse, racial profiling, sexism, ableism or homophobia is strictly against our server rules in Misfits RP. Anyone found to be doing this can and will be removed from our community.

3. 1.3

   Any form of severe toxicity will not be tolerated in our community. This includes, but is not limited to; excessive forms of harassment, bullying, teasing and tormenting.

4. 1.4

   ERP — [Erotic RP] is not allowed in any form. This is against Twitch TOS and CFX rules. Anyone caught doing any form of ERP (Erotic Roleplay), will be banned & removed from the community.

5. 1.5

   Characters within the city must have realistic names and nothing that could potentially break T.O.S (Terms of Service).

6. 1.6

   You must always allow the RP to continue before making a report. You must not break character at any time or refuse to RP if you are in a situation where you feel that someone has broken a rule. You must finish the RP scene and then report the situation afterwards.

7. 1.7

   You must not report someone based on a grudge. This means reporting someone for breaking rules which were not brought forward before action taken up yourself is known as spite reporting.

8. 1.8

   Impersonating any staff member in the city is strictly forbidden and will result in being removed from the community.

9. 1.9

   You must not leave the server or voice call in the middle of a staff situation. You must wait until a situation is concluded before leaving.

10. 1.10

    When you lose any items from a bug or scuff related issues, you must provide a valid clip to the staff team to be considered for compensation — no clip, no comp.

11. 1.11

    All player reports must have supporting evidence in the form of a clip, with full audio of all people involved. This is so staff can fairly assess what has happened. Please remember to use the ‘]’ key on scene to gain IDs of all players in the scene.

12. 1.12

13. 1.13

    You must have a working and reasonable quality microphone.

14. 1.14

    Advertising any other server will result in removal from the community regardless of what type of server it is.

15. 1.15

    If you are found to be selling in-game information or items for real life cash, this will result in removal from the community.

2.0 Cheating, Hacking or Exploiting

1. 2.1

   Uncertified access to the server is considered hacking and using third party software to obtain an advantage in game is considered cheating.

2. 2.2

   Finding loopholes through game mechanics is abusing the system and is considered exploiting. If you report any found exploits immediately instead of abusing it you could be rewarded; otherwise when staff find out, you will be banned.

3.0 Metagaming

1. 3.1

   Using or relaying any information which is used to benefit your RP in Misfits RP via other means outside of the city. This includes giving a streamer information about things in the city in their chat.

2. 3.2

   You must not be actively viewing a streamer showcasing the city whilst in active RP yourself.

3. 3.3

   This includes but is not limited to being in Discord calls whilst actively RP’ing in the city. Sharing information via Discord and obtaining information from Twitch streams.

4. 3.4

   You must not actively assist a streamer in their chat giving details such as they need to eat/drink, locations of items, locations of players, general locations within the game.

4.0 Green Zones

NOTE: This does not mean that you can ENTER this establishment to avoid a scene.

   You cannot initiate or harm anyone inside a green zone under any circumstance. The only green zone in the city is:

2. 4.2

   In AND around MHS Rockford Hospital and outside the building.

5.0 Fail RP / No Intent to RP (NITRP) / Low Quality RP (LQRP)

1. 5.1

   We expect you to take roleplay seriously. If you fail to do so, you could be considered failing to Roleplay.

2. 5.2

   Roleplay is a shared experience, and if you don’t value other players’ experiences, this will result in a failure on your part.

3. 5.3

   Giving other players the silent treatment and refusing to talk/interact with them.

4. 5.4

   When in the server, every action your character takes should be as realistic as possible.

   • When interacting with MHS you cannot ask for “heal and a patch up” — be realistic with your reasons for treatment e.g. “My stomach is hurting”. Once you are receiving treatment by MHS, all medical roleplay is under their discretion. They control your treatment, and your outcome. You must see the treatment out fully until the MHS worker discharges you.
   • Stopping for a traffic stop, then speeding off as soon as the officer is approaching your vehicle on foot is deemed as NITRP.

6.0 Random Deathmatch (RDM)

1. 6.1

   You must have a valid reason to kill someone within RP. Killing someone must be a last resort, as there are many routes you can take to RP which do not rely on people losing their life.

2. 6.2

   We reserve the right to pull you into a ticket and ask for an explanation of why you have killed a player. If we conclude it was not necessary, a punishment will be issued.

7.0 Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

1. 7.1

   You must not, under any circumstances, use a vehicle to inflict any damage to another player or group of players — UNLESS you are in a fight or flight situation where hitting one person with a car in a reasonable situation to avoid being injured yourself.

2. 7.2

   Staff have the right to ask for a clip on this scenario. If the reasoning is questioned as unwarranted or breaking rules, please be prepared to clip your perspective with context.

   • You are in the driver seat of a car with the engine running and someone pulls a GUN out and your life is at risk — you can hit them with your car to spare your life. This only would count if it is 1vs1; as multiple people with guns would mean your risk is too high and you would have to fear. This exception is only valid when gunplay is involved. Melee weapons are not life threatening whilst you are in the security of a car.

8.0 Powergaming

1. 8.1

   You must NOT use in-game mechanics and scripts in order to gain an unfair advantage over other players. This includes special powers provided by certain job roles within the city.

2. 8.2

   Each action you take must be carried out in a serious RP situation as close to realistic as possible.

3. 8.3

   You must not use the term “body cam” within RP unless you are part of the emergency services who have the physical body cam.

   • Assuming officers have the keys to unlock banks etc.
   • Dragging a local out of their vehicles to then sell drugs to.
   • Dealing drugs from inside a vehicle or on a bike/motorbike is also classed as powergaming. Players must be out/off of their vehicle to commence dealing.
   • Spam punching is against the server guidelines; spamming your keys to try to gain an advantage in combat is classed as powergaming.
   • You cannot lock people inside any building or business unless you have a VALID roleplay reason.
   • Picking people up whilst running or attempting to escort people whilst they are running.
   • PD cannot cuff whilst being actively attacked. The suspect MUST surrender or be suffering from a taser shot.
   • Getting up and running away after being tased a second time is NOT allowed. You may get up and run after ONE taser shot but you must surrender if you are hit by a second taser shot.
   • Hiding in the water to escape an arrest is NOT allowed.
   • Cancelling emotes to hide player actions (e.g. putting hands up whilst hacking an ATM).
   • Jumping in/out of a boot when cuffed/tied up.
   • Using a radio when cuffed/tied up.
   • No carrying/escorting someone when in/on a moving vehicle (must put another person in the vehicle seated or in the trunk) — this includes motorbikes.
   • Picking players up and putting them into a car (including car boosting) to bypass the lockpick procedure.
   • Using emotes to move whilst dead (including F8 binding).
   • You must not store any vehicles away in garages mid situation or pull out another car from your garage mid scene.
   • You cannot use your phone, /emote, /me or any player actions when in a critical state.
   • /me takes comms is seen as powergaming. Use in-city game mechanics to forcefully take items or get the player to pass them to you.
   • /me drags out of the vehicle is also classed as powergaming.
   • Relogging in order to reset the death timer.
   • Using radio / phone under water.
   • You cannot return to your hotel room mid scene.

9.0 Breaking Character

1. 9.1

   You must always stay in character in Misfits RP.

   • There are other means to speak out-of-character when necessary, but doing it through your character breaks the immersion for yourself and those around you.
2. 9.2

   Generally, out-of-character topics include, but are not limited to:

   • Referencing rules
   • Reporting another player
   • Calling admin (unless you’re stuck under the map)
   • Something that doesn’t make sense in the roleplay world
   • Messaging people in Discord DMs
3. 9.3

   Highlighting rule breaks in the server by using out-of-character terms is considered breaking character and is STRICTLY prohibited.

4. 9.4

   If you come across a player that is breaking character, you MUST NOT entertain this under ANY circumstances. Stay in character, carry the scene, clip and report the player after the scene has ended.

5. 9.5

   REFER TO ADMIN/STAFF AS COUNCIL/GOVERNMENT ONLY.

10.0 Voice ID

1. 10.1

   You MUST NOT use a character’s voice in order to identify them.

2. 10.2

   This also includes blacked out window tints if a player is in a vehicle.

3. 10.3

   The only exception would be if the character that is masked up, or inside a blacked-out vehicle has identified themselves.

   • Mentions their own name / someone informs you their name etc.

11.0 Combat Logging

1. 11.1

   You MUST NOT leave the server whilst you are in any active RP scene.

2. 11.2

   After committing a crime or being involved in any active scene, you must wait until the scene is COMPLETELY finished before logging out the server (e.g. you must wait for PD to finish processing you and send you to prison).

3. 11.3

   You CANNOT leave the server immediately after committing a crime e.g. robbing a jewellery store and logging off straight away.

4. 11.4

   You MUST NOT engage in an active RP situation if you know you will not be able to complete the scene.

5. 11.5

   You MUST NOT exit the server when your character is in a ‘critical state’ or ‘dead’.

12.0 GTA Driving

1. 12.1

   You cannot use your vehicle to excessively / continuously ram other vehicles when travelling in excess of 80mph.

2. 12.2

   If PD has managed to box you in, you MUST surrender the vehicle — you can STILL get out and run if PD have not already surrounded the vehicle on foot.

3. 12.3

   You must ONLY drive on a surface that is suitable for the car you are in.

4. 12.4

   You cannot drive a supercar or a road bike up a mountain/offroad.

13.0 Force RP

1. 13.1

   You must not force or interfere with another player’s scene if you were not originally part of it UNLESS you have a valid reason.

   • You are not part of a scene taking place however you have overheard a conversation about this scene that involves you / your gang / your friends.
   • You CANNOT interfere with other players that are actively carrying out heists/robberies.
   • You cannot force someone to go to the bank and withdraw money or ask to take items out of their stash.

14.0 Failure To Value Life

1. 14.1

   You must realistically fear for your life when threatened with ANY type of weapon. This includes but is not limited to bladed articles, firearms, kitchen appliances, woks etc.

2. 14.2

   ALL MELEE WEAPONS ARE OF EQUAL THREAT, REGARDLESS OF THE MELEE WEAPON’S DAMAGE.

   • If you have a knife and the other player has a wok, this would be classed as an equal fight.
3. 14.3

   The ONLY time you must fear another weapon is if it’s a gun and you only have a melee weapon OR you are outnumbered with the same weapon class. You have the opportunity to fight if you do not value your life.

4. 14.4

   Tasers are the same threat as a melee weapon.

5. 14.5

   You must fear for your character’s freedom at all times. This includes not bringing your character into any potential disadvantage or harm by providing yourself as bait.

6. 14.6

   You can use /me in a vehicle to threaten the driver of the vehicle (you must have the item in your pockets).

   • For example — /me holds a knife to neck. The driver must fear for their life and comply with the criminal’s demands, unless the criminal gets out of the vehicle and fails to show the weapon in their hand. (Please allow a few seconds for the criminal to physically pull the knife out due to GTA game mechanics).

15.0 Roleplay Over Ruleplay

1. 15.1

   We allow roleplay over ruleplay in CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. This will be down to staff’s discretion.

16.0 Injuries

1. 16.1

   INJURED (stage 1)

   • When you are injured you have the ability to use your radio, talk to those around you, crawl towards help and call /111 for emergency help.
2. 16.2

   Intensive Care (Bleed out Stage 2)

   • You are NOT allowed to talk, call for help or use /me. In this stage you are now going to intensive care and will have to respawn.
3. 16.3

   Misfits Health Service (MHS) will be able to treat you when you are (INJURED). When you are (Intensive Care), it will be determined by the medical professional if you are able to be revived by use of a defibrillator, with a maximum of 3 shocks. If MHS declares that you need to be moved to intensive care after these 3 shocks, you will be moved to the morgue and can respawn. Please wait till you are in the morgue and have been left before you respawn.

4. 16.4

   If you are treated by MHS (player) and revived you will be able to remember everything excluding the scene leading up to the critical injury.

5. 16.5

   Under no circumstances should any player check in when stage 2 (Intensive Care) with the local doctor.

6. 16.6

   You CANNOT discharge yourself from MHS care (including the side of the road) without a doctor / paramedic’s approval.

7. 16.7

   You cannot use your phone or /999 or /111 dispatch when you are in a critical state.

8. 16.8

   You will not be allowed to remember anything leading up to your death if you are classed as dead by MHS and/or ocean dumped.

9. 16.9

   If you are forced to respawn, you cannot walk back to the medic and say “how did you just let me die, you only shocked me twice and I only got hit by a car”.

10. 16.10

    If you don’t agree with MHS’s outcome, you must open a ticket and provide clips of the injury and MHS’s interaction for us to make a decision.

11. 16.11

    Any MHS staff when in uniform should not be robbed/assaulted when inside the hospital or out on a call.

12. 16.12

    NLR (New Life Rule)

    • The New Life Rule is used when someone is stage 2 and ‘sees the light’, causing the character to forget all previous events or information leading up to their death. (When staged 2 you are not permitted to visit the NPC doctor — you must be treated or see the light.)
    • IF you are treated by a member of MHS you can remember everything apart from the events which led to those injuries.
    • GANGS: In a gang scenario, if you are bled out of the gang and put on your back (stage 2), YOU MUST forget everything about the gang and anything associated such as members, locations the gang uses, names and KP group. (A bleeding out can only be authorised by a higher up member of the gang.)

17.0 Failure To RP Injuries

1. 17.1

   You must roleplay every injury to the best of your ability. You must create active roleplay for all MHS / MPD.

2. 17.2

   You can’t pronounce yourself dead — only MHS can pronounce you dead based on injuries and the scene.

3. 17.3

   If you are hit with a melee weapon, you MUST RP being injured from the hit. You should not immediately retaliate against your attacker.

4. 17.4

   If you have been shot or stabbed, you MUST RP the seriousness of the injury. Emergency Services will RP these injuries when treating you.

5. 17.5

   Headshots

   • If you have been headshot, even if you are lay on your side, it would be Failure to RP injuries to talk in a coherent manner, or talk at all.
   • MHS can detect a high-velocity wound to the head. If they call this out as a gunshot to the head, please follow the roleplay even if you are on your side; they will declare you as DOA without attempting defib.

18.0 Forbidden Types Of RP

1. 18.1

   Suicide RP, Terrorism RP, Harassment & Sexual Assault are not allowed in any form at all. Anyone found doing any of these will be dealt with by staff promptly.

2. 18.2

   PD are not allowed to use these terms on an MDT either — they should use alternative charges like “Attempted murder” or “Assault”.

19.0 Hateful Conduct

1. 19.1

   Any forms of hate crime or toxicity towards any other people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or other serious health condition.

2. 19.2

   Serious repercussions will follow any form of sexual harassment towards females or males in the server. This can include hounding, cat-calling or name-calling.

20.0 Cop Baiting

1. 20.1

   Do not seek to start forced interaction with police in order to initiate a scene for no reason. Police are not there to keep you entertained in the city. Do not ruin their experience because you want to attempt to show off your driving skills. Police will initiate based on active scenarios they are made aware of or called to.

2. 20.2

   Expect to be ignored if you are just driving around PD trying to get their attention. Stealing police cars can be done as long as there is a VALID RP motive to the theft — do not just “steal the vehicle” without any roleplay behind it because you’re bored, as this is cop baiting and you will face staff intervention.

21.0 Corruption

1. 21.1

   Corruption will not be allowed for ANY whitelisted jobs.

2. 21.2

   The only time it will be allowed is if you open a ticket with a thorough story, including a start, middle and finish. This story will be reviewed and have to be approved by ALL staff members.

3. 21.3

   If your story gets accepted then that will be the end of your MPD/MHS storyline.
